Beginning of Rwandan Genocide
Rwanda was a normal country in the state oOn April 6, 1994, a horrendous carnage between
the Hutus and the Tutsis happened. It all began when the Hutu president of
Rwanda, Juvénal Habyarimana was assassinated on a plane above the Kigali airport
(“History Place”). After the crime was done, the next 100 days were full
of violence for the people that lived in Rwanda, blood for blood. 800,000
Tutsis were killed due to the Hutu’s wanted revenged for them, who were
accused for killing the president. The aftermath of this abhorrent event, was
that most adults and adolescents had to cope with the psychological malfunction
that the genocide wore off to the people.
